Commercial Bathroom Renovations Canberra
We renovate commercial bathrooms for Canberra businesses, property managers and builders: amenities specified for heavy daily use, easy to keep clean, and fitted out by one team from quote to handover.
Your bathroom is one of the things a customer quietly judges you on. A tired amenity with a cracked tile and a tap that never quite stops says something about the rest of the business, and a clean, well-built one says the opposite without anybody noticing why. It adds to the sense that the place is looked after, which is the point.
Who this is for
We take commercial bathroom work of most types and sizes. The people who call are usually one of three: a business owner whose staff or customer amenities have worn out, a property manager looking after amenities across a building, or a builder who wants the wet areas of a fit-out handled by one crew.
The brief is different from a home in two ways. The room has to survive far more use than any household gives it, and it usually has to be done around a business that is still trading.
What we do on a commercial job
- Design consultation. We look at how the room is used and how many people use it, and set the layout and the specification from that rather than from a catalogue.
- Tile installation. Our own crew lays the floor and the walls. In a busy amenity, porcelain outlasts almost everything else, and the floor tile is chosen for grip as well as looks. More on the laying itself on our tiling services page.
- Cabinetry and fixture upgrades. Vanities, basins and tapware replaced or refitted, including low-flow fixtures and energy-efficient lighting where you want the running costs down.
- The plumbing behind it. Whether it is a new basin run, a relocated toilet or a replacement shower, it is installed correctly and safely, and the wet areas are waterproofed properly before any tile goes on.
Every job comes with a 10-year warranty on our workmanship, waterproofing included.
What to decide before we quote
- When the room can be out of use. Tell us at the first visit whether the amenity can close, whether part of it must stay open, and which days matter most to your trade. We agree the schedule with you before work starts.
- Who signs off. If you lease the premises, the landlord or building manager usually needs to approve the work. Knowing who that is before the quote saves a delay later.
- Anything the new room has to match. If other floors or sites already use a particular basin, tap or tile, bring the product names so the new amenity matches them.
- Whether any room must be an accessible facility. Your building certifier or manager will know. It changes the layout, so it has to be known before anything is drawn.
- The look. Traditional, contemporary or modern - the three looks are set out in the questions below - chosen to match the rest of the premises. Our tiles and materials guide compares the surfaces, and the floor tiling guide covers what makes a hard-working floor last.
How the job runs
Commercial jobs follow the same order as our residential work - a site visit and a written, itemised quote, then design and planning, then the build, with the schedule agreed with you before work starts. The sequence is set out on our bathroom renovations page.
Where we work
We take commercial bathroom work across the ACT and in Queanbeyan. Queanbeyan is over the border in New South Wales, so work there follows NSW rules rather than the ACT's; tell us which side of the border the premises are on when you call.
